Hosting. The website is hosted by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., a Microsoft company). When you visit the site, GitHub processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information in order to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. I do not have access to these logs. See GitHub’s privacy statement.
Fonts, icons and equations. These are served from this website itself; no external font, icon or script service is contacted when you view the pages (links you click on lead to other sites, which have their own policies).
Statistics (Google Analytics), only with your consent.
If you accept “Statistics”, Google Analytics 4 is loaded.
It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<id> and collects which pages you visit, how long you stay, approximate location, device and browser information, and a pseudonymous identifier.
IP addresses are not logged or stored by Google Analytics 4.
The purpose is to understand which content is read.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and the Danish cookie order).
Data is processed by Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC, and may be transferred to the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Data is kept for the retention period set in the Google Analytics property (at most 14 months).
Advertising (Google AdSense), only with your consent. If you accept “Advertising”, the Google AdSense script is loaded. It may set cookies and use identifiers to show and measure advertisements. Google acts as an independent controller for this; see how Google uses data from sites that use its services. Legal basis: your consent.
Your choice. Nothing is sent to Google before you choose. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage, not a cookie) so that you are not asked on every page, and it expires after 12 months. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with “Cookie settings” in the sidebar. Withdrawing deletes the Google cookies on this site.
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Because I do not identify visitors, I can normally not link data to a person; most requests concern Google and GitHub. You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), datatilsynet.dk.
